Pliant Diamonds
Public Building 2008

Pliant Diamonds is a proposal for a new building for Swedish Public Service. It merges SVT, SR and UR together in a shared building and opens it up to a public program. The design is based on a geometric, spatial pattern that is pliant to contextual and programmatic differences. The structure is a modularity of smooth deformations, it's continuous yet highly diverse. Elements are linked together by different modes of self-similarity, which produces richness in flavor and acts as a transistor in part-to part and whole-to-part relationships.
